ALOK IN HEIDELBERG (TICKET GIVEAWAY)

22. Oktober 2022

📣 Heidelberg ✨

We are delighted, honoured, and beyond excited to announce Alok Vaid-Menon’s visit to Heidelberg this fall! Migration Hub Heidelberg, along with Queer Festival Heidelberg, will be hosting ALOK October 22 at the Karlstorbahnhof!

ALOK (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed writer, comedian, public speaker, and cherished human being. Their work is not only a living love letter to trans people, but an expansive invitation for us all to embody a more liberated, honest, and fabulous world. They explore themes of trauma, belonging, and the human condition – reminding us always that we need each other, that “exclusion is not a metaphor,” that “Queer life is a monument to the fact that healing is possible.” ALOK is the author of Femme in Public (2017), Beyond the Gender Binary (2020), and Your Wound/My Garden (2021). We highly recommend softening yourself into their life changing, lifesaving work. Read their poetry together, out loud, in love, with and to each other! Check out their Instagram, website, podcast features and more.

Unpack your pearls and plan your looks! Let’s come together and make this an absolutely beautiful and memorable night, full of mutual appreciation. Let’s be blissful, seen and unapologetically alive. Follow us here for more updates.

Information regarding accessibility regarding the location can be found on https://heidelberg.huerdenlos.de/. Please reach out to us with access needs and questions! More on the event at Karlstorbahnhof Website (https://www.karlstorbahnhof.de/programm/veranstaltung/alok/).
